All the way from Brazil\, this extraordinary tale follows ‘Cuca’ – a curious boy who gets swept away by a gust of wind into a faraway world\, ruled by machines and unkindness. In a clash between rich and poor\, machine and animal\, right and wrong\, Cuca discovers the world’s amazing beauty\, its man-made dangers\, and leads us through a journey of hope\, uniting and healing people through song. \nWithout any language (apart from a strange version of Portugese – backwards!) – this entire animation is told through music\, sound and song – therefore is completely accessible to EVERYONE – perfect for children\, people with second language English\, or NO English. \nFree crèche is available\, and after the screening\, we will enjoy a shared lunch. \nDon’t miss an incredible film event to melt the hearts of adults\, children and bring the whole community together! \nThis event is FREE for asylum seeking families! \n

One day\, driving in their father’s car\, they get into yet another fight and accidentally kill a goat! BAD LUCKY GOAT is the hilarious story of their adventure (with the goat!) and their journey to try and become friends again. More narrowly\, adultism is defined as ‘prejudice and accompanying systematic discrimination against young people.'”\n\n  \nGENTLE/RADICAL invite all young people to a Halloween night of food\, short films and discussion for and about young people. We want to start a conversation about what young people want to see happening in our city. \nHow do we make spaces for you as young people?\nHow does our culture reflect and support you?\nHow can your voices be heard\, how can adults listen? \nThis event is a chance for young people\, and those who work with you\, to get together and discuss what a radical future for young people might look like. \nIt’s Halloween\, so our film shorts are themed around some scary stuff: ghosts\, ghouls\, but also some of the scary things young people are facing today – from police checks to lack of job opportunities\, from body image to Islamophobia… \nThis get together is about watching short films\, sharing food\, and discussing your aspirations\, frustrations\, and how to deal with the challenges of living in a society that doesn’t know how to value your voice \n
